This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 16

12:10 a.m.: Jasmine D. Hagan, 21, of the 2600 block of Bristol Lane, received a municipal court summons for a charge of possession of marijuana. Officers stopped Hagan’s vehicle near West Main Street and South Quincy Avenue. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed marijuana inside her bag.

3:40 a.m.: Chella B. Washburn, 19, of the 1500 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested on a felony charge of third-degree domestic assault. Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of East Fourth Street for a possible disturbance. The complainant said Washburn hit him in the face during a verbal argument. Washburn told officers nothing physical happened, but the complainant had swelling and bruising under his left eye.

Incidents

Nov. 14

3:50 p.m.: A complainant reported a burglary and property damage at his apartment in the 1700 block of Heck Avenue. The victim said someone stole a TV, DVD player and a wireless speaker from the apartment, causing an estimated $1,000 in losses. At the time of the report, the officer had a person of interest in his investigation.

Nov. 15

8:50 a.m.: An officer responded to the 900 block of South Harrison Avenue for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim said someone stole his wallet and two guns from his truck. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The total loss amounted to $2,766. The officer had no suspects at the time of the report.

10:55 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle with a defective headlight at South Ingram Avenue and East 15th Street. The driver fled, and a vehicle pursuit began. The suspect attempted to evade officers by traveling east through the Bothwell Regional Health Center parking lot and back onto South Ingram Avenue. The suspect eluded capture and was last seen in the area of Ingram and East 28th Street. The incident is still under investigation.

Incidents

Nov. 15

1:45 p.m.: Deputies took a report of damage to jail property at the Pettis County Jail. Charges are pending at this time.

Arrests

Nov. 15

11:55 p.m.: Shaun L. Wilson, 30, of Orongo, was arrested in Benton County on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Troopers also served a Jasper County felony warrant.
