This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 13

1:20 a.m.: Jennifer Lynn Dove, 29, of the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license. An officer stopped Dove’s vehicle near West Broadway Boulevard and Ruth Ann Drive for failure to signal a turn, speeding and defective license plate lights. Investigation during the stop reportedly revealed Dove had a revoked license and was intoxicated.

10:25 a.m.: Bryanna Lynn Collins, 22, of Lincoln, was arrested on a charge of trespassing. An officer responded to a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of trespassing. The complainant said Collins had been in the store for about three hours and refused to leave. The officer told her she needed to leave the property or he would arrest her. Collins still refused to leave, so the officer placed her under arrest. She was booked and released from the Pettis County Jail with a City of Sedalia charge of trespassing.

2:05 p.m.: Sheila Pickett, 51, of the 1500 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer responded to the 1500 block of East Ninth Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. He spoke with two family members involved in a verbal altercation. During the investigation, the officer saw methamphetamine in plain sight. A subsequent search of the residence revealed several items of illegal drug paraphernalia. The officer arrested Pickett, who was also involved in the disturbance.

8:05 p.m.: Juan Martinez-Corona, 42, of the 1000 block of East 10th Street, was arrested on a charge of driving without a license. An officer stopped Martinez-Corona’s vehicle near East 16th Street and South Hancock Avenue for failing to stop at a stop sign. A computer check revealed he didn’t have a driver’s license.

9:50 p.m.: Eric Sean Archibeque, 32, of the 4300 block of South Limit Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Archibeque’s vehicle for speeding on West Broadway Boulevard near Thompson Boulevard. Archibeque reportedly said his driving privilege was suspended. Dispatch confirmed his suspended status.

Oct. 14

12 a.m.: Jubyris M. Jordan, 23, of Otterville, was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license. An officer stopped Jordan’s vehicle near East 13th Street and South Lamine Avenue for not having headlights on. A computer check revealed Jordan didn’t have a valid license.

8:20 p.m.: Luis D. Govea, 33, of the 400 block of West Seventh Street, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Govea’s truck in the area of South Missouri Avenue and West Seventh Street for a defective driver-side brake light. A computer check through dispatch showed he had a suspended license.

Oct. 15

12:35 a.m.: David Eddie Taylor, 37, of the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue, was arrested on felony charges of first-degree domestic assault and kidnapping. An officer was dispatched to the emergency room at Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a domestic assault that took place in the 1600 block of West Fifth Street. The victim reported a person she knew had assaulted her. The victim required medical attention for injuries inflicted in the attack. During the assault, the suspect, Taylor, reportedly prevented the victim from leaving their residence. Officers located and arrested him.

Incidents

Oct. 11

12:10 p.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of Robinson Court for a report of property damage. The complainant said someone vandalized the laundry mat at the Sedalia Housing Authority sometime between 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The complainant reported several holes had been kicked in walls and the door was damaged. He estimated the damage to be more than $500.

Arrests

Oct. 13

9:05 p.m.: Emily Ann Almazan was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license and three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer.

Incidents

Oct. 15

2:20 p.m.: Deputies took a stealing complaint at the Sheriff’s Office. The reporting party said someone stole a PlayStation 4 from his home. The estimated value of the gaming console was $500.

Oct. 12

9:40 p.m.: Travis F. Hankins, 31, of Cross Timbers, was arrested in Benton County on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving with a revoked license, registration violation and not having insurance.

Oct. 14

7:15 p.m.: Jonathan N. McKinley, 32, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
