Arrests

Sept. 30

12:15 a.m.: Amber Lee Wallace, 28, of Marshall, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Wallace’s vehicle near East Broadway Boulevard and South New York Avenue. A computer check showed she had a suspended license.

4:05 p.m.: Kendal Dale Brown, 27, of the 1000 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested on charges of felony resisting arrest, careless driving and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. An officer was in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and East 12th Street because of the number of complaints about motorcycles speeding in the area. While the officer patrolled in the area, a motorcycle driver, Brown, drove away from him at a high rate of speed. Neighbors in the area were able to help the officer locate the motorcycle, and he later took Brown into custody.

Oct. 1

12:10 a.m.: Jennell Lorene Garrison, 33, of the 3900 block of Suburban Lane, was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped Garrison’s vehicle near East Ninth Street and South Madison Avenue. Dispatch informed the officer that Garrison had a suspended license and a warrant from Pettis County. A passenger in the vehicle, Ashley Lynn Liebe, 34, of the 1000 block of South Monroe Avenue, had a warrant from the City of Sedalia.

2:30 a.m.: Damon L. Lewis, 43, of the 300 block of West 10th Street, was arrested on charges of possession of a defaced firearm, unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony receiving stolen property worth $150 or more, and felony stealing. An officer stopped Lewis in the 1300 block of South Park Avenue after he observed him walking through yards in the area. An investigation reportedly revealed Lewis was in possession of a firearm that had been reported stolen in Sedalia on Sept. 8. The firearm’s serial number had been defaced. Lewis is a convicted felon and is prohibited from legally possessing a firearm. The officer also reportedly located methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

Incidents

Sept. 30

7:30 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a store in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. An employee told him a known suspect, who had received a trespass warning for the property, committed a return fraud valued at $33.72 on Sept. 24. The officer is submitting charges of first-degree burglary and theft against the suspect.

8:35 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a forgery. The complainant said the suspect tried to make a purchase with a $50 bill. The complainant tested the $50 bill with a marker. The marker’s ink turned brown, indicating the bill was fake.

Arrests

Sept. 30

8:50 a.m.: Michael W. Beshore, 69, of Raytown, was arrested in Benton County on charges of possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

10:50 p.m.: James A. Mayfield, 23, and Jordan M. Chappel, 22, both of Edwardsville, Illinois, were arrested in Saline County on charges of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 2

2:10 p.m.: Charles L. Henderson, 39, of Kansas City, was arrested in Johnson County on a felony charge of leaving the scene of a crash.
