This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 12

8:59 p.m.: Jacquelynn Jo Rash, 20, of the 1700 block of South Park Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 14th Street and South Limit Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with expired registration. Dispatch told the officer that the driver had a suspended license.

Sept. 14

12:35 a.m.: Gracia Alejo Ubaldo, 25, of the 600 block of East 10th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard on charges of operating a vehicle without a valid license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to register annually with the Department of Revenue. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was arrested for driving without a license and two active Failure to Appear warrants.

3:37 a.m.: Reggie E. Townsend, 56, of the 900 block of West Second Street, was arrested in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted for a vehicle with expired registration. Dispatch told the officer that the driver had a suspended license through Arkansas Department of Revenue.

10:26 a.m.: Jacob Edward Masters, 32, of the 1300 block of South Murray Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license. A traffic stop was conducted after the officer recognized the driver as having a revoked license. The status was confirmed through dispatch and then the officer stopped the vehicle.

Incidents

Sept. 14

9:41 a.m.: A victim in the 600 block of East 10th Street reported her white 2000 Ford F150 single-cab, long-bed pickup truck had been stolen. The suspect is known to the victim. A charge of tampering with a motor vehicle is being submitted against the suspect.

9:58 a.m.: A victim reported a firearm, valued at $950, had been stolen from his residence in the 1200 block of East Fourth Street. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

Arrests

Sept. 13

1:59 p.m.: Fredys O. Salmeron-Benavides, 36, of Marshall, was arrested in Saline County on a charge of felony driving without a license.

Sept. 14

1:10 a.m.: Stephen L. Shaw, 30, of Hughesville, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree domestic assault.

4:27 p.m.: Davonta J. Sweate, 24, of Kansas City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of speeding 77 mph in a 60 mph zone, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to provide insurance, driving with a suspended license and felony stealing.
