Pettis County added 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 5,079, according to the Pettis County Health Center.
According to the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force briefing issued Monday, this is an increase of 23 cases in the past two weeks. There are also more people in quarantine from exposure than in the past two weeks.
The positivity rate for March 22-28 was 1.76% and the cases per 100,000 is 16.53. The positivity rate for April 1-7 is 4.56% and the case rate is 33.07 per 100,000. The number of tests has remained fairly constant, so this is a significant increase, the briefing states.
There is no one hospitalized with COVID-19 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. There is at least one Pettis County resident hospitalized outside of the county.
Pettis County has now vaccinated approximately 25.1% of the population with at least one dose. According to the state website, 10,636 Pettis County residents have received one dose and 7472 have completed the two-dose series which is approximately 17.6% of the population fully vaccinated.
As of April 9, all Missourians are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine who are over the age of 16.
Pettis County Health Center will have a walk-in clinic from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14. There will be second doses available for both Pfizer and Moderna for those who were not able to keep their second dose appointment. First doses will also be available. To register, call 660-827-1130, but appointments are not required.

Katy Trail has limited Johnson and Johnson vaccine available. Patients will be vaccinated by appointment. Community members may be vaccinated from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday. Community members are asked to register on covidvaccine.mo.gov/navigator and contact Katy Trail to request an appointment time.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 2,229 confirmed cases for an average of 318 per day. There were a total of 4 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of one death per day. There were a total of 320,285 vaccinations administered in the last seven days in Missouri, representing an average of 45,755 per day.
