Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will host a drop-in day for Sedalia Sites only from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. Due to health and safety precautions, the day will look different than in years past and will only be available to children already enrolled in the BGC program.
Previously, any Boys & Girls Club member could attend a drop-in day at the First Baptist Church location no matter what Club Site they normally attend. This year drop-in days will be held at each Sedalia Elementary Site; those who attend The CLUB will be able to drop-in at the church.
“If your child goes to the Heber Hunt Club Site, for example, they will go to Heber Hunt for the drop-in day,” Executive Director Gary Beckman said. “Everything else will remain the same, we’ll have programming options and fun activities planned, but instead of all being together at one location, they’ll be in their regular school/Club Site.”
Parents must send the $5 fee with their child on the drop-in day; those who do not have their fee will not be allowed to stay at the Club Site. State pay child care assistance and scholarship do not count toward drop-in day fees. Children should also bring a sack lunch; milk and snack will be provided by Boys & Girls Club.
