City of Sedalia contractors continue working to make improvements to the City’s water distribution system. The following streets will be reduced to one lane as they will be affected while water mains are installed, new water lines are tied in to the water distribution system or failed valves are replaced. All roadways will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plates will be installed to allow both lanes of traffic to be open after 5 p.m. each day.
• West Third Street near the intersection with South Stewart Avenue on Monday, May 3 for water line tie in.
• West Third Street near the intersection with South Park Avenue on Monday, May 3 to Tuesday, May 4 for water line tie in.
• South Ingram Avenue between East 18th Street and East 19th Street on Monday, May 3 for replacement of failed water valves.
• West 20th Street near the intersection with South Warren Avenue from Wednesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 6 for water main installation.
Travelers in these areas are encouraged to plan for use of alternate routes during this period to avoid delays. This work is weather and equipment dependent and the dates lane restrictions occur may be affected by inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
