Kingsville man killed in Johnson accident
Dennis L. Miller, 75, of Kingsville, was killed and Jeffrey A. Davis, 49, of Knob Noster, sustained minor injuries at 6:27 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Miller crossed the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 50 at County Road West 1601 in a 2005 Hyundai Elantra into the path of a 2014 Ford F-250 driven by Davis.
The Elantra skidded, traveled off the roadway, struck a light pole and overturned. The Ford skidded, traveled off the road, overturned and struck a traffic sign.
Miller was pronounced dead on the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Davis was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by private vehicle.
