Osceola woman seriously injured in Henry accident

Dellas D. Colby, 49, of Osceola, was seriously injured at 5:20 p.m. Monday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dellas was driving east on 962 Road northeast of Highway ZZ in a 2004 Buick Rendezvous when she lost control of the vehicle and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Dellas was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Two men injured in Johnson accident

David A. Ritter, 57, of Clinton, received minor injuries and Gary G. Forste, 66, of Leeton, received moderate injuries at 5:14 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, both vehicles were southbound on state Route 13 at County Road Southwest 910 when a 2003 Toyota by Ritter overtook and struck a 1997 Mercury driven by Forste, who was stopped in the right lane to make a left turn.

Both men were wearing a seat belt. Ritter was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by Johnson County Ambulance District. Forste was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by JCAD.
