Two seriously injured in Benton golf cart accident

Elizabeth J. Curtis, 31, of Excelsior Springs, and Stephen R. Faught, 35, of Higginsville, sustained serious injuries at 8:25 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Faught was driving a Parcar golf cart west on Bill Bryant Drive near Duck Street when he struck a speed bump and overturned, ejecting the driver and passenger.

It is unknown if they were wearing seat belts, they were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District. 

Two hurt, one in serious condition after Morgan accident

Linda B. Nichols, 58, of Springfield, sustained serious injuries and Harold Moore, 65, of Dexter, sustained minor injuries at 4:24 p.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Chevy Chevrolet Suburban driven by Moore westbound on Route 52, was traveling in front of a 2018 Freightliner driven by Duc T. Duong, 31, of Des Moines, Iowa. The Suburban slowed to make a left turn and was struck in the rear by the Freightliner. A 1889 Nissan D21 driven by Nathaniel L. Hicks, 33, of Calhoun, was struck by debris from the other two vehicles after impact.

Nichols and Moore were wearing seat belts and were transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
