Holden man seriously injured in Johnson accident

Lance M. Warner, 27, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Holden was driving a 1998 Chevrolet east on Route 58 when he swerved to avoid an animal in the road, traveled off the right side of the road, overturned, and struck a fence.

Warner was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.

Sweet Springs woman injured in Pettis accident 

Virginia Ulverg, 64, of Sweet Springs, sustained moderate injuries at 5:14 p.m. Monday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ulverg was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Buncomb Road when she traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert, became airborne, struck a ditch and landed in a creek.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
