Sedalia woman injured in Johnson accident
Emmalee P. Smoot, 20, of Sedalia, received moderate injuries at 4:45 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Smoot was driving north on Business 13 at Northeast 375th Road in a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze when she had a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert, then crossed Northeast 375th Street and overturned.
It is unknown if the driver was wearing a seat belt, she was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
