Man killed in Pettis accident
A St. James man was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Collin M. Oetting, 23, was driving north on state Route H, south of Cherry Tree Lane, when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck the embankment. The vehicle came to rest in the creek on its top.
Oetting, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead by Pettis County Deputy Coroner Brian Morley.
