Wentzville man seriously injured in the Lake of the Ozarks Jet Ski accident

Michael P. Malone, 71, of Wentzville was seriously injured at 8:44 a.m. Friday in a Lake of the Ozarks accident in Morgan county.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Malone was driving a 2014 Yamaha Jet Ski at the 6.5 mile mark of the Gravois Arm of Lake of the Ozarks and failed to keep a lookout. Traveling at a high rate of speed he struck an object floating in the water and was ejected.

Malone was wearing a life preserver and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by MU Air.

Three from Edwards transported after Benton County Collision

Mark E. Lee, 56, of Edwards suffered minor injuries, Jesse W. Wininger, 78, of Edwards suffered minor injuries and Galen l. Strickland, 73, of Edwards suffered minor injuries at 10:38 p.m. Friday in a Benton County accident.

Strickland was charged with driving while intoxicated and transported to the Benton County Sheriff's Office and placed on a 12-hour hold. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a Ford F-350 driven by Wininger west on Hwy. M at South Shore Drive began backing up and was struck by a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac driven west by Strickland.

Lee and Wininger were not wearing seat belts and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Creighton motorcyclist in serious condition after hitting raccoon

Robert J. McCubbin, 41, of Creighton suffered serious injuries at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, McCubbin was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson south on Rt. R when he struck a raccoon, overturned and was ejected.

He was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Golden Valley ambulance District to Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton.

Two Sedalia girls hurt in Pettis accident

A 10-year-old girl and a six-year-old girl from Sedalia suffered minor injuries at 12:31 p.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Sophia M. Roedanz, 29, of Sedalia west on Elm Hills Boulevard at U.S. 65 failed to yield to a northbound 2019 Toyota RAV4 driven by Grace E. Scott, 31, of Sedalia and was impacted on the driver's side.

The six-year-old was treated on scene and the 10-year-old was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County ambulance District.
