Lorilee A. Gutierrez, 54, from Lebanon suffered serious injuries and Zachary P. Johnson, 33, from Lebanon suffered moderate injuries at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Johnson was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger north on Missouri Route 135 at Westwood Drive when he overcorrected, crossed the centerline of the roadway, overcorrected and recrossed the centerline, overcorrected again and overturned.
Johnson was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Mid-Mo ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia, Gutierrez was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by MU Air to University Hospital.
A nine-year-old boy from Gilliam suffered minor injuries, Zachary R. Womack, 47, from Gilliam suffered moderate injuries at 5:07 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in a Saline County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Womack failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway. He then overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturn several times. Ejecting the unrestrained driver.
Womack was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, the 9-year-old was restrained and was sent to Fitzgibbon hospital as well.
Womack was charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a person less than 17 in the vehicle, felony child endangerment, failure to drive on the right have the roadway causing a crash, no insurance, and no seat belt. He was transported to the Saline County Sheriff's department and placed on a 24-hour hold.
