Man hurt in Johnson wreck

A Knob Noster man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:01 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ryan S. Mealey, 18, was driving east on Southeast 500th Road at Southeast 201st Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Dustin R. Keller, 31, of Warrensburg.

Mealey, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.

Two hurt in Benton accident

Two people suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2:25 p.m. Monday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Stephen E. Snyder, 68, of Warsaw, was driving south on U.S. Route 65, south of McDaniel Road, when he attempted to avoid a vehicle making a right turn. Snyder’s vehicle began skidding, crossed the center of the road, traveled off the left side of the road, and overturned.

Snyder and his passenger, 67-year-old Joy L. Snyder, of Warsaw, were taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for their injuries.
