Wentzville man in serious condition after Morgan accident
Brian L. Vanleer, 59, of Wentzville, sustained serious injuries at 4:55 p.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Vanleer was traveling east on U.S. Highway 50 at Morgan County Drive in a 2016 Hyundai Elantra when a 2017 Ford F350 driven by Carlin J. Zimmerman, 21, of Versailles, rear-ended his vehicle. This forced Vanleer’s vehicle into the path of a 2013 Ford F150 driven west by Cory A. Thieman, 19, of Marshall. The F-150 struck the Elantra.
Everyone except Zimmerman was wearing a seat belt. Vanleer was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by the Pettis County Ambulance District.
Versailles man hurt in the Morgan accident
Justin M. Herr, 22, of Versailles, received a minor injury at 11:50 a.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Herr was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina north on state Route 5 at Cattle Lane and attempted to make a left turn when he was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, also northbound, driven by Jeremy L. Dudley, 46, of Wichita, Kansas.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Herr was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by the Mid-Mo Ambulance District.
