Holden man killed in Johnson County tractor accident

William E. Brunner, 90, of Holden, was killed at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brunner was driving a John Deere tractor East on Route TT near SW 1821 Road when he traveled off the right side of the road, struck a tree, rolled down an embankment, and was ejected.

He was pronounced dead on scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. 

Kansas man in serious condition after Johnson accident

Brian M. Snodgrass, 45, of Rantoul, Kansas, sustained serious injuries at 4:13 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Snodgrass was driving a 2011 Freightliner west on NW Highway 50 when he struck the rear of a 2004 Kenworth driven by Aaron R. Goucher, 28, of Buckner.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Snodgrass was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Sedalia woman injured in Saline ATV accident

Jessecca K. Haase, 37, of Sedalia, sustained moderate injuries and a 9-year-old girl sustained minor injuries at 6:54 p.m. Wednesday in a Saline County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 1988 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Randall E. Hardin, 60, of Sweet Springs, crossed the centerline while traveling south on state Route 127. The vehicle began traveling south in the northbound lane while a 2022 Polaris XR driven by Haase was traveling north in the northbound lane. Haase attempted to avoid impact by traveling partially off the road but the Chevrolet struck the Polaris, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its side. 

Both occupants of the Polaris were wearing seat belts. The 9-year-old refused treatment on scene while Haase was transported by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
