Garden City woman hurt in Henry accident

Shirley R. Payne, 71, of Garden City, sustained minor injuries at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Payne was driving a 2005 Dodge truck east on state Route 18 east of NW 40th Road when she swerved to avoid an animal, traveled off the right shoulder, overcorrected, traveled off the left shoulder, and overturned.

Payne was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by ambulance. 

Four hurt in Henry collision

Carole L. Kampe, 74, of Leeton; Ray F. Jones, 90, of Clinton, and Georgia C. Hazel, 91, of Clinton, all sustained moderate injuries, and Arlene F. Campbell, 78, of Clinton, sustained minor injuries at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Campbell attempted to turn onto state Route 13 from Private Drive NE 214 and failed to yield to a 2006 Dodge 1500 driven by Kampe.

Everyone was wearing seat belts and were transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by ambulance. 

Elkland man in serious condition after Henry accident

Ryan L. Newton, 42, of Elkland, sustained serious injuries at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday in a Henry County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Newton was driving north on state Route 13 north of Route Z in a 2016 Ram when he lost control, traveled off the roadway, and overturned.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

14-year-old girl hurt in Moniteau accident

A 14-year-old female from Tipton received minor injuries at 8:50 p.m. Monday in a Moniteau County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 16-year-old male from Tipton was driving too fast in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado south on Round Hill Road when he traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a fence.
Both passengers were wearing seat belts. The girl was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Kansas City by private vehicle.
