Edwards teens hurt in Benton accident

Mark R. Henderson, 18, and Matthew N. Henderson, 19, both of Edwards, both sustained minor injuries at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Benton County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mark Henderson was driving east on Route AA west of Simmons Avenue in a 1998 Dodge when he struck a deer, traveled off the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

It is unknown if either man was wearing a seat belt. They were transported by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. 

16-year-old from Warrensburg hurt in Johnson accident 

A juvenile male from Warrensburg sustained minor injuries at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2021 Ford F-150 driven by Austin W. Kramer, 30, of Sedalia, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 west of Devasher Road when he slowed for construction and was struck by a 2000 Ford F150 driven by the 16-year-old.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The juvenile was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
