Hardin man in serious condition after Benton UTV accident
Gerald M. Messer, 39, of Hardin, sustained serious injuries at 9:35 p.m. Thursday in a Benton County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Messer was driving a John Deere AMT 622 UTV north near Bent Tree Harbor on trails through the woods and when traveling downhill overturned, ejecting both occupants before coming to rest.
Messer was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton.
