Warrensburg teen in serious condition after Johnson accident

A 16-year-old male from Warrensburg sustained serious injuries at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Aidin J. Muehler, 21, of Maryville, was driving a 2012 Honda Fit north on Highway 23 at Route E when he attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a southbound 1996 Chevrolet driven by Harold W. List, 66, of Knob Noster. 

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, but the juvenile occupant of the Honda was not. He was transported by Jackson County EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. 

Waverly man killed in Johnson accident

Burnie G. Jordan, 54, of Waverly, was killed at 7:48 a.m. Thursday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jordan fell from the bed of a 2004 Ford F150 driven by Robert E. Long, 40, Kansas City, traveling south on Route 13. 

Jordan was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. He was pronounced dead by Dr. Kyle Harkin. 

Holden teen hurt in Johnson accident

A 16-year-old girl from Holden sustained minor injuries at 6:20 a.m. Thursday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the teen was driving a 2004 Jeep west on NW 600 Road when she failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and a fence.

She was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Lee's Summit Medical Center.
