Holden man in serious condition after Johnson accident

Stephen D. Peterson, 60, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 11:53 pm Thursday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Colt S. Weddle, 30, of Cole Camp, was driving a 2013 Ford west on NW U.S. Highway 50 and struck Peterson, a pedestrian, who was walking in the lane of traffic.

Peterson was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Warsaw 16-year-old hurt in Pettis accident 

A juvenile female from Warsaw received minor injuries at 12:35 p.m. Thursday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 17-year-old male from Warsaw was driving a 2013 Nissan Sentra south on U.S. Highway 65 at Highway F when the vehicle hydroplaned on standing water, traveled off the road, and overturned in a flooded ditch. Both juveniles were wearing seat belts. The girl was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.
