Kansas man seriously injured in Benton accident

Anthony R. Eve, 40, of Merriam, Kansas, was seriously injured at 3:08 a.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Eve was driving west on Escapade Rock Lane near Route BB in a 2020 Dodge. Eve failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking a ditch and a tree before the vehicle came to rest and caught fire.

It's unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. Eve was transported to Bothwell Regional Medical Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District.

Eve was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive in a single lane. He was released.

Bolivar men hurt in Benton accident

Thomas A. Bolin 64, of Bolivar, received minor injuries, and Jerry L. Bolin, 67, of Bolivar, received moderate injuries at 7:20 p.m. Sunday in a Benton County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Thomas Bolin was driving north on Fairfield Road at Moon Road in a 2010 Polaris Sportsman when he lost control, crossed Fairfield Road, and collided with a parked vehicle.

Neither man was wearing a safety device. The occupant was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln  Ambulance District to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.

Clinton motorcyclist hurt in Henry deer collision

James E. Quigg, 53, of Clinton, sustained serious injuries at 11 p.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Quigg was driving south on Route PP at South East 200 Road on a 2007 Harley-Davidson when he struck a deer. 

He was wearing a helmet and was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Life Flight Eagle.

Eldon woman hurt in Morgan accident 

Felicity E. Blankenship, 18, of Eldon, received minor injuries at 11:58 a.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Blankenship was traveling south on Route 5 at Route P in a 2013 Volkswagen Passat when she attempted to turn east onto Route P and traveled into the path of Lloyd E. Hoover, 33, of Macks Creek, who was driving north in a 2013 Ford Fusion. The Passat was struck by the Fusion. 

Hoover was wearing a seat belt, Blankenship was not. She was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. 

Stover man killed in Morgan motorcycle accident

Jeffrey A. Smith, 35, of Stover, was killed at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by A.S.  Wilson, 58, of Versailles, was driving east and tried to turn left in front of westbound Smith on a 2003 Harley Davidson. The Wrangler was struck by the Harley. 

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Katie Lutz. He was not wearing a helmet.
