Warsaw woman injured in Benton accident

Michaela Pearcy, 25, of Warsaw, sustained moderate injuries at 9 a.m. Thursday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 1998 Jeep Cherokee utility vehicle with flashing yellow lights on top, driven by Pearcy east on Route C west of Route T, made a u-turn in the roadway and was struck by a 1995 Ford L8000 driven by James C. Hayes, 65, of Edwards. 

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Pearcy was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. 

Excelsior Springs woman hurt in Johnson accident

Irene M. Christensen, 58, of Excelsior Springs, sustained minor injuries at 3:52 p.m. Thursday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christensen was driving a 2018 Mitsubishi west on Route C at West 268th Street when she pulled into the path of a 1994 Chevrolet driven by Evan H. Stolz, 18, of Lawson.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Christensen was transported by private vehicle to Excelsior Springs Hospital. 

Sedalia man killed in Johnson County motorcycle accident

Ira J. Baldwin, 48, of Sedalia, was killed and Ered N. Jackson, 41, of Warrensburg, sustained moderate injuries at 9:15 p.m. Thursday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as Baldwin was driving a 2012 Honda motorcycle west on U.S. Highway 50 west of NE 501 Road when he struck the rear of a 2004 Nissan Titan driven by Jackson and was ejected.

Baldwin, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead on the scene by Acting Johnson County Coroner Deputy M. Coleman. He was transported from the scene by the Johnson County Coroner. Jackson was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Stover man hurt in Morgan accident 

Alan G. Bellis, 50, of Stover, sustained minor injuries at 11:55 a.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bellis was driving a 2005 Eaton moped west on Route 52 west of Mule Drive and experienced a mechanical failure. The vehicle traveled into the eastbound lane and rolled on its side, ejecting the driver.

Bellis was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by ambulance.
