Teen hurt in Morgan crash

A Versailles 17-year-old male was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:38 p.m. Monday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the teen was driving south on state Route T, south of Fairground Road, when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. The driver overcorrected and directed the vehicle across and off the right side of the road. He overcorrected again and directed the vehicle across and off the left side of the road. The vehicle became airborne and then struck the ground. It then struck a utility pole.

The teen, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.
