Nevada woman injured in Henry accident
Kelly D. Houts, 58, of Nevada, received moderate injuries at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Houts was an occupant in a 2006 GMC Envoy driven by Gabriella Wigge, 25, of Nevada, which was headed north on state Route 13 north of Deepwater. The vehicle struck a median barrier, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a guardrail.
Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. Houts was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
Garden City motorcyclist killed in Henry accident
Robert L. Strotheide, 51, of Garden City, was killed at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Strotheide was driving south on state Route M at state Route 13 on a 2011 Harley Davidson Road Glide Custom when he swerved to avoid a vehicle pulling out of a private drive. The report stated he overcorrected, causing the vehicle to run off the roadway.
He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead on the scene by Henry County Coroner Dain Sisk.
