Warsaw motorcyclist injured hitting deer

Scott E. Crawford, 44, of Warsaw, suffered moderate injuries at 10:54 a.m. Monday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Crawford was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide south on Route B when he collided with the deer and was ejected from the motorcycle.

He was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Two from Warrensburg injured in Johnson County accident

Antonia Holtey, 27, of Warrensburg, suffered minor injuries and Colton C. Drake, 20, of Warrensburg, sustained moderate injuries at 7:05 a.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Drake was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu south on state Route 23 and struck the rear of a southbound 2012 Honda Civic driven by Holtey, who was slowing. The Malibu traveled off the right side of the roadway, impacting a tree.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Four transported to hospital after Johnson County accident

Samantha Anderson, 28, of Bates City, and Jose R. Hernandez-Garcia, 42, of Kansas City, suffered serious injuries; a 4-year-old boy from Bates City suffered moderate injuries; and a 2-year-old boy from Bates City suffered minor injuries at 1:35 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anderson was driving a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan south on Route Z when she crossed the centerline and swerved back into the lane of traffic. A 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Hernandez-Garcia struck the vehicle on the driver's side.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Sweet Springs man hurt in Pettis County accident

Chance Miles, 22, of Sweet Springs, suffered minor injuries at 9:25 p.m. Monday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Miles was driving a 2005 Ford Freestyle north on U.S. Highway 65 when he lost control of the vehicle, traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median and the southbound lanes and came to rest off the roadway in a field.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bothwell by Pettis County Ambulance District.
