Knob Noster woman injured in Johnson crash

Kathleen A. Young, 38, of Knob Noster, received moderate injuries at 8:13 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Eric C. Young, 36, of Knob Noster, was driving west on state Route 23 at Spirit Boulevard in a 2013 Nissan when he pulled into the path of a 2010 Jeep driven by Michael D. Heintz, 29, of Knob Noster. Heintz struck the Nissan on the passenger side. 

Kathleen Young, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. Eric Young and Michael Heintz were both wearing a seat belt. 

Topeka man hurt in Benton watercraft collision 

Ralph L. Freeman, 77, of Topeka, Kansas, received minor injuries at 10:45 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County watercraft accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 1992 Champion driven by Kevin D. Ross, 62, of Platte City, was westbound on the Lake of the Ozarks Osage River Channel when it sideswiped a 2006 Crestliner Driven by Michael R. McGuire, 57, of Braymer. 

Freeman, an occupant, sought his own treatment at Stormontvail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

Platte City man seriously injured in DWI accident

Gavin C. Hardman, 21, of Platte City, received serious injuries at 3:20 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hardman was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1071 Road in a Chevrolet Silverado when he traveled off the left side of the roadway. 

He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Five women from Holden injured in Johnson accident

Victoria A. Runyon, 19, Jamie R. Runyon, 40, and a 12-year-old female received minor injuries and Andrea C. Runyon, 18, and a 16-year-old female received moderate injuries at 2:09 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident. All five are from Holden.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Victoria Runyon was driving west in a 2004 Mazda Tribute on U.S. 50 west of Route D when she attempted to avoid a collision with a reckless motorcyclist and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway and overturn in the median, ejecting one occupant. 

All the occupants except for the 16-year-old were wearing a seat belt. The 12-year-old, Victoria Runyon and Jamie Runyon were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. The 16-year-old was transported by Lifeflight to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Andrea Runyon was transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Grain Valley man hurt in Johnson accident

Jeremy T. Hobart, 46, received minor injuries at 4:55 a.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hobart was driving east on U.S. 50 near Northwest 1801 Road in a 2003 Chevrolet when he struck an unoccupied and parked 2005 Ford. 

He was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Laurie woman hurt in Morgan accident

Tisha S. Prenger, 45, of Laurie, received minor injuries at 8:58 a.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Patrol report, Cody J. Shoecraft, 34, of Gravois Mills, was driving south on state Route 5 near Indigo Road in a 2001 Ford Escape. He went into the northbound lane and struck Prenger’s 2014 Ford Fusion. 

Prenger was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by private vehicle. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.

Versailles man, woman injured in Morgan accident

Katelynn N. Peas, 24, and Zachary G. Brown, 24, both of Versailles, received moderate injuries at 11:53 a.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brown was driving south on Old 5 Road near Leatherman Road in a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer when he went off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and went back off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree and a fence. 

Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. Brown was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Peas was transported by MU Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia. 

Gravois Mills man hurt in Morgan DWI accident

Jay T. Boortz, 49, of Gravois Mills, received moderate injuries at 7 p.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Boortz was driving east on Route 200 near towering Oak Road in a 2002 Ford Thunderbird when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a traffic sign and a tree. 

He was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Colorado man injured in Saline motorcycle accident

Jeffrey R. Perkins, 44, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, received moderate injuries at 12:30 p.m. Friday in a Saline County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Perkins was driving north on state Route 41 south of Muddy Creek Road on a 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. 

He was transported by Slater Emergency Medical Services to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
