Stover man killed in Benton crash 

A Stover man was killed in a one-car accident at 9 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James N. Scheil, 39, was traveling on state Route 52 just East of Brockman Avenue when his 2015 Ford Fusion traveled off the right side of the roadway, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire and was engulfed in flames. 

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Teen injured in Benton accident 

A 16-year-old female from Warsaw suffered moderate injuries in a single-car accident at 8:25 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the teen was driving on state Route 7 south of Cedar Grove Avenue when her 2009 Ford Escape traveled off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment, and struck a building. 

The driver was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by ambulance.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office. 

Woman injured in Benton crash

A Gravois Mills woman received minor injuries in a single-car accident at 3:20 p.m. Saturday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 36-year-old Kristin D. Ward was driving north on state Route 7 north of Edwards when it traveled off the right side of the road and struck several trees before coming to rest. 

She was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Clinton man arrested for DWI 

A Clinton man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Henry County. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Chance W. Barnhart, 36, was driving a 2020 Polaris Ranger 1000 on Northeast 501 Road just south of state Route YY when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle and it traveled off the left side of the road. His vehicle overturned partially ejecting him. 

Barnhart was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by his wife.

According to an MSHP arrest report, Barnhart was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right-half of the roadway. 

Man hurt in Morgan accident

A Versailles man received minor injuries in an accident at 11:30 p.m. Friday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kendell R. Cann, 18, was driving east on state Route 52 just east of Big Rock Road when he swerved to miss a deer. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree. 

He was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
