Four juveniles hurt in Benton crash

Three 16-year-olds from Lincoln and one 15-year-old from Warsaw received minor injuries in an accident at 9:45 p.m. Friday in Benton County. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 16-year-old driver from Lincoln was traveling westbound on Coffee Road east of Davis Road when his 2006 Chevy crossed the centerline of the roadway and traveled off the left side of the road, striking trees and a fence before coming to rest facing westbound. 

A 15-year-old occupant, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Two 16-year-olds, the driver who was not wearing a seat belt and an occupant who was wearing a seat belt, refused treatment at the scene. Another 16-year-old occupant who was wearing a seat belt was transported by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

KCMO man hurt in Henry wreck

A Kansas City, Missouri, man received minor injuries in a crash in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 5:25 p.m. March 6 Larry V. Gilliahan, 75, was northbound on state Route 7 in his 2007 Toyota Tundra when he struck Timothy R. Greier, 61, from Rogersville. Greier, who was driving a 2011 GMC truck that was towing a trailer, was turning from Route C northbound onto Route 7 when he was struck by Gilliahan. 

Gilliahan was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.

Warsaw woman injured in Henry crash 

A Warsaw woman received serious injuries in a Henry County crash.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 3:40 p.m. March 6 Ginger L. McKenzie, 42, was southbound on Route PP just south of Southeast 140th Road in a 2001 Cadillac when she traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck the ditch. 

McKenzie was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. She was wearing a seat belt.

Henry crash injures one 

A Hermitage man received minor injuries in a Henry County crash.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 7:30 p.m. March 5 Daniel A. Quick, 32, was traveling westbound on state Route 52 at Southwest 1100 Road when his 2020 Freightliner traveled off the right side of the road. Quick overcorrected, causing the Freightliner to overturn. 

Quick refused treatment at the scene.

Warrensburg man arrested for DWI 

A Warrensburg girl received serious injuries in a Johnson County crash.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 8:34 p.m. March 6 at U.S. 50 and Business 50, a crash occurred as a northbound 2016 Ford Fiesta driven by Brandon B. Galbreath, of Camdenton, failed to yield and traveled through an intersection into the path of an eastbound 2002 Ford Focus driven by Jonathan V. Woerner, 34, of Harrisonville. This caused Galbreath’s vehicle to overturn. Galbreath was wearing a safety device as was everyone in the Fiesta. 

A 7-year-old male from Harrisonville in the Fiesta received moderate injuries, an 11-year-old female from Warrensburg received serious injuries and occupant Elizabeth E. King from Harrisonville received moderate injuries. All three were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Galbreath was arrested for driving while intoxicated-drug intoxication resulting in serious physical injury, and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident. Galbreath was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.  

Warrensburg man seriously injured 

A Warrensburg man was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 6:35 p.m. March 6 Torres Diego, 21, of Warrensburg, was the occupant on a Polaris ATV driven by Aylia Maritza, 18, of Portaville, California, in a field near 1141 SW 101 Road in Johnson County. The ATV accelerated through an opening in a fence and began turning east, sliding and overturning. 

Diego was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Motorcycle crash injures two 

A Moniteau County motorcycle crash injured two people from California.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, at 4:43 p.m. March 7 Jay R. Walton was attempting to avoid a traffic accident when his 2009 Harley-Davidson FLHX traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. 

Walton, who was not wearing a safety device, was seriously injured and was transported by MU Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia. Blanche F. Estep, 58, was wearing a safety device and was transported by Cole County EMS to University Hospital with moderate injuries.
