Aurora man hurt in Henry accident

Matthew J. Shearer, 30, of Aurora, received minor injuries at 11:35 p.m. Thursday in a Henry County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shearer was driving a 2016 Toyota south on state Route 7 at Urich when he traveled off the roadway and his vehicle struck a road sign and a tree. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side. 

Shearer was transported by Golden Valley Emergency Medical Services to Belton Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt. 

Versailles man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

Michael C. Hibdon, 49, of Versailles, was seriously injured at 8:18 p.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hibdon was driving a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle south on Route MM north of Hidden Valley Road when he struck a deer and overturned, and was ejected. 

Hibdon was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by MU Aircare to University Hospital in Columbia.
