Warrensburg man killed in motorcycle accident
Donald R. Rowe, 74, of Warrensburg, was killed at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County motorcycle accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rowe was riding north on state Route 13 north of Henry County Northwest 1400 Road when he traveled off the left side of the road and overturned. Rowe was ejected, striking a fence.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. Rowe was not wearing a safety device.
Creighton couple in serious condition after accident
Johnny L. Hartwick, 71, and Karen Hartwick, 71, both of Creighton, sustained serious injuries at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in a Henry County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Johnny Hartwick was driving a 2017 Ford Mustang North on state Route 7 at Northwest 501. Their vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned.
Both passengers were wearing a seat belt and were transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by Life Flight Eagle Air.
Clinton woman hurt in Henry accident
Samantha M. Collins, 18, of Clinton, received minor injuries at 9:57 a.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Collins was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi east on state Route 18 near the Grand River Bridge when she traveled off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the center of the road, go off the left side of the roadway, hit the bridge wall, cross the centerline of the roadway, travel off the right side of the road and hit the side of the bridge.
Collins, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
Holden man hurt in Johnson accident
Chase H. Manford, 22, of Holden, received minor injuries at 10 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Manford was driving a 2019 Chevrolet west on Northwest 800 Road at state Route Z when he was distracted by a cell phone and traveled through the intersection.
He was transported by private vehicle to Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee’s Summit. Manford was not wearing a seat belt.
Warrensburg man hurt in Johnson motorcycle accident
Robert P. Lambert, 65, of Warrensburg, received moderate injuries at 1:02 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lambert was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Southeast 201 Road at Southeast 250 Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned before coming to rest off the road.
Lambert, who was not wearing a safety device, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.
10-year-old girl injured in Johnson ATV accident
A 10-year-old girl from Warrensburg suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2:04 p.m. Friday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on County Road Southeast 30 near County Road Southeast 501. A 2012 Polaris driven by Charles L. Williams, 40, of Knob Noster, turned east from a private drive onto Southeast 30th Road and made a U-turn, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and the passenger, who was also not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected. The 10-year-old passenger was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Clarksburg woman hurt in Moniteau accident
Joyce M. Knipp, 82, of Clarksburg, received minor injuries at 1:50 p.m. Friday in a Moniteau County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Knipp was eastbound on U.S. 50 at Cross Lane Road in a 1997 GMC Sierra when she slowed down to make a left turn onto Cross Lane Road and struck the rear of an eastbound 2019 Dodge Challenger driven by Lisa G. Gamble, 54, of Kansas City.
Knipp, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City by Mid-Mo Ambulance District. Gamble was also wearing a seat belt.
Cameron man hurt in Morgan accident
Donald E. Hoffman, 82, of Cameron, received moderate injuries at 10:05 a.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hoffman was driving north on state Route 5 north of Route MM in a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2009 Ford F250 driven by Kasie R. Giannone, 36, of Tipton.
Hoffman was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo Ambulance District. Hoffman was not wearing a seat belt and Giannone was wearing a seat belt.
Two from Fortuna hurt in Morgan accident
Caleb L. Moss, 22, and Danny L. Moss, 53, both of Fortuna, received minor injuries at 7:51 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as Caleb Moss was driving south in a 1970 Ford F250 on Route T just north of state Route 135 when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway, and struck a tree.
Both passengers were wearing a seat belt and were transported by emergency medical services to Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City.
