Leeton woman injured in Johnson accident
Barbara J. Smith, 60, of Leeton, sustained moderate injuries at 10:39 a.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Smith was driving west on SW 910 Road in a 2007 Buick Lucerne when she attempted to avoid a deer and the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a post and rocks, and came to rest in a shallow creek.
She was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Stover man in serious condition after Morgan accident
Anthony J. Gibson, 40, of Stover, sustained serious injuries at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday in a Morgan county accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gibson was driving east on Third Street in a 2010 Mercury Mariner when he traveled off the right side of the road, crossed Cherry Street, and then struck two trees.
Gibson was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
