Illinois man injured jumping into Lake of the Ozarks

Lorenzo Martinez, 33, of Mount Sterling, Illinois, received moderate injuries at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Gravois arm of Lake of the Ozarks.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Martinez voluntarily jumped from a stationary 2018 Sweet pontoon boat and sustained a moderate injury. He was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. 

Five injured in Benton two-car crash

Three juvenile males from Osceola were seriously injured, Donald E, Graham, 33, of Deepwater, was seriously injured, and Bonnie S. Geyer, 41, of Warsaw, received a minor injury at 3 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Guyer was driving west in a 2017 Buick on Route BB at Hidden Valley Road when she pulled out of a driveway westbound on Route BB and into the path of a 2007 Nissan driven by Graham. Graham, who was driving with three juvenile passengers, impacted the back of the vehicle. 

The three juveniles, of whom only two were known to be wearing seat belts, were transported by Life Flight to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Graham, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Life Flight to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Guyer, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Sedalia man injured in Benton ATV accident

Ricky Bentley, 54, of Sedalia, received serious injuries at 5:20 p.m. Sunday in a Benton County ATV accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bentley was driving west on state Route 52 at Tobaben Road when he struck a deer, overturned, and traveled off the right side of the roadway. 

He was transported to University Hospital by Life Flight. 

Carrollton 17-year-old hurt in Henry accident

A 17-year-old female from Carrollton received minor injuries at 8:06 a.m. Friday in a Henry County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the teen driver of the 2004 Oldsmobile was driving north on Northeast Highway Y near Northeast 400 Road when she traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned, striking a Missouri Department of Transportation sign. 

She was transported by Golden Valley EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. 

Warrensburg man killed in Johnson accident

Kody A. Jones, 42, of Warrensburg, was killed and Dakota W. Warren, 21, of Kingsville, was seriously injured at 3:20 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Warren was driving a 1999 Ford south on Northwest 1601 Road and Jones was eastbound on U.S. 50 in a 2017 Ford when Warren crossed the eastbound lane of 50 and struck the driver's side of Jones’ Ford. Both vehicles traveled off the south side of the highway, striking a stop sign and a light pole. 

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren. He had been wearing a seat belt. Warren was transported by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

California woman killed in Moniteau DWI accident

Kathleen D. Bennett, 39, of California, was killed and Ryan P. Wolf, 47, of California, was seriously injured at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in a Moniteau County motorcycle accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2006 Harley-Davidson FXD driven by Wolfe was driving north on state Route 87 at Shepherd Road when it struck the rear of an unknown northbound vehicle, overturning and ejecting the occupants. 

Bennett was pronounced dead by Moniteau County Assistant Coroner Brad Friedmeyer. Wolf was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach and then by MU Air Care to University Hospital in Columbia. Neither cyclist was wearing a safety device. 

Wolfe was charged with driving while intoxicated-death of another. He was released for medical treatment.

Lebanon woman hurt in Morgan accident

Milagros M. Gray, 34, of Lebanon, received minor injuries at 6:55 a.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Milagros was driving west in a 2010 Ford Fusion on Route P east of White Oak Road and a 2009 Ford Edge driven by Daniel E. Clemens, 37, of Lake Ozark, was driving east. Bray failed to drive on the correct side of the roadway, striking the side of Clemens’ vehicle. 

Gray was transported by private vehicle to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.

Stover woman injured in Morgan accident 

Bailey N. Sechrest, 23, of Stover, received moderate injuries at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sechrest was northbound on state Route 135 in a 2008 smart car when she failed to navigate the roadway, traveled off the right side of the road, and struck a utility pole. 

Sechrest, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. 

Two injured in Pettis accident 

Kevin C. Connelly 54, of Wentzville, received moderate injuries and Melissa Schmittgens, 23, of Creve Coeur, received moderate injuries at 5 p.m. Sunday in a Pettis County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Connolly was driving south in a 2005 GMC Sierra on Route M and Goodwill Chapel Road when he crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Honda Accord, which was northbound driven by Schmittgens. Both drivers, who were wearing a seat belt, were transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
