One killed, three injured in Henry accident
Simone Y. Johnson, 21, of Kansas City, was killed and London l. Johnson, 20, of Kansas City; Tyerese L. Sims, 21, of Independence; and Ramon J. Wooten, 34, of Kansas City, received serious injuries in a Henry County accident at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wooten was driving a 2021 Dodge north on Route 13 south of Route 52 when he lost control of the vehicle on wet pavement. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, overturned, and two of the occupants were ejected.
Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene by Henry County Deputy Coroner Paul Abbott. Johnson, Sims and Wooten were transported to Belton Regional Medical Center. No one in the vehicle was wearing their seat belt.
