Sedalia woman hurt in a Morgan crash

Shanna D. Johnson, 41, of Sedalia, received minor injuries at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Johnson was driving West on U.S. 50 near Morgan County Drive in a 2000 Toyota Echo when she traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree. 

Johnson was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center. 

Sleeping driver hurt in Morgan crash 

Amaryilis D. Horning, 78, of Stover, received minor injuries at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Horning was driving south on Route FF near Rush Drive in a 2006 Ford Taurus when she fell asleep, causing the vehicle to exit the right side of the roadway and strike a tree and an embankment. 

Horning was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Cole Camp Ambulance District. 

Windsor man hurt in Pettis car-truck accident 

Michael W. Pitts, 35, of Windsor, received minor injuries at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in a Pettis  County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Pitts was driving west on state Route 52 at Maple Grove Road in a 2002 Saturn when he crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2008 Peterbilt driven by William B. Fowler, 51, of Windsor. Pitts fled the scene on foot and was later located. 

He was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment then arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway, no insurance, and failure to register a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.
