Warsaw man hurt in Benton accident

Jerald Doop, 42, of Warsaw, sustained minor injuries at 4:25 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, an unknown driver was piloting a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan West on Route H east of Highway 65 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Occupants Doop and Carl D. Humphrey, 33, of Warsaw, were not wearing seat belts. Humphrey was released at the scene and Doop was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District.

Windsor man killed in Johnson accident

Ronald W Johnson, 76, of Warsaw, was killed at 10:02 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Johnson was driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler north on 1262 Highway WW when he exited the vehicle, fell, and was driven over by the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Deputy Coroner Coleman. He was not wearing a seat belt. 

Three men seriously injured in Johnson accident

Mitchel W. Chrisenberry, 66, of Leeton; David S. Harris, 55, of Chilhowee; and Rodney E. Lemen, 53, of Leeton, all sustained serious injuries at 11:35 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Chrisenberry was driving a 1997 Peterbilt 379 west on Highway 2 east of County Road SW 351 when he crossed the center of the roadway, traveled off the south side of the road, and struck an embankment and a fence. After impact, the vehicle continued to travel off the south side of the roadway and through a creek before coming to rest facing west. 

Chrisenberry was the only occupant wearing a seat belt. All three victims were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by private conveyance. 

Twoin serious condition after Moniteau accident

Matthew C. Eddington, 34, and Alicia L. Boyd, 27, both of Eldon, sustained serious injuries at 6:24 p.m. Friday in a Moniteau county accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Edington was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon South on Highway 87 north of Route A when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a fence and a tree. 

Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt and both were transported by MU Air Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. 

Two from Faucett hurt in accident

Timothy A. Biggs, 59, of Faucett, sustained moderate injuries and Sidney J. Biggs, 49, of Faucett, sustained minor injuries at 3:21 p.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James F. Von Kaenel, 65, of Stover, was driving a 2006 Town and Country Chrysler Town & Country north on Highway 135 at Ivy Bend Road when he made a left turn in front of a 2022 Nissan Altima driven by Timothy Biggs. Everyone was wearing a seat belt. Sidney and Timothy Biggs were transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
