Sedalia woman hurt in Johnson crash

A Sedalia woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:14 a.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Keiara Martin, 22, of Sedalia, was driving a 2020 Ford Escape west on U.S. Highway 50 at Northeast 801st Road when the vehicle traveled off the road and struck a sign.

Martin was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries. It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt.

Sedalia man hurt in Pettis wreck

A Sedalia man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:35 a.m. Sunday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Drennen M. Sampson, 19, was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla south on Route H north of Bouldin Road when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, became airborne after striking a field entrance and overturned on its top.

Sampson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

Two hurt in Johnson motorcycle crash

Two people received minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:33 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Terran S. Mace, 29, of Sedalia, was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson west on U.S. Highway 50 at Route 131 when he attempted a left turn where the lanes were uneven. The motorcycle overturned.

Mace refused treatment at the scene. A passenger, 22-year-old Abigail L. Stark, of Kansas City, Missouri, was treated and released at the scene.

The report indicates neither occupant was wearing a helmet.

Two hurt in Johnson County 4-wheeler wreck

Two Odessa residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:54 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Allen J. Hilburn, 38, was driving a 1995 Honda four-wheeler west in the 1200 block of Northwest 625th Road when he failed to navigate a curve and struck a tree. Both occupants were ejected.

Hilburn suffered serious injuries and was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. A 15-year-old male occupant suffered minor injuries and was treated and released on scene.

The report indicates neither occupant was using a safety device.

Woman seriously hurt in Benton County

An Excelsior Springs woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Nathan L. Roland, 35, of Excelsior Springs, was driving a 2001 Polaris Magnum west on Elk Ridge Drive west of Colf Avenue when the vehicle experienced a mechanical brake failure. Roland made a sharp right turn in an effort to miss a utility pole. The passenger, 35-year-old Felica D. Roland, was ejected.

Felica Roland was taken by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

The reports indicate neither occupant was using a safety device.

Four juveniles hurt in Saline accident

Four children from Marshall were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:44 a.m. Monday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John W. Garrison, 31, of Marshall, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am north in the 2800 block of South Lincoln Avenue when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the roadway, began skidding and traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle struck the ditch and a barbed wire fence.

A female baby, a female 1-year-old, a female 8-year-old and a male 9-year-old received minor injuries. The parents refused medical treatment.

The report indicates Garrison and the juveniles were not using a safety device.

Versailles man seriously injured in accident

A Versailles man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:27 p.m. Saturday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jacob M. Kessner, 34, was driving a 2009 Chrysler 300 north on Route W one-tenth of a mile south of Old Route W when he traveled off the right edge of the road. He overcorrected and the vehicle crossed the center line. It traveled off the left side of the road, struck a highway sign and two trees and overturned, ejecting Kessner.

Kessner, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by MU Air Medical Service to University Hospital in Columbia.

Two hurt in Morgan County accident

Two California, Missouri, residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alexandria J. Larson, 20, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country south on Route 5 north of Route TT north junction behind a southbound 2018 Ram 1500 driven by Vanessa D. Stafford, 24, of California, Missouri. Stafford began slowing to make a right turn and Larson’s vehicle struck the rear of Stafford’s vehicle. 

Larson was taken by private vehicle to St. Mary’s with minor injuries. A passenger in Larson’s vehicle, 24-year-old Kacey D. Hagerman, was taken by Mid-MO Ambulance District to St. Mary’s with moderate injuries.

The report indicates Larson, Stafford and Hagerman were all wearing a seat belt.
