Warsaw man killed in deer-motorcycle accident

Geary W. Shaddox, 61, of Warsaw, was killed at 9:42 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County motorcycle accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shaddox was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson south on Route MM north of U.S. 65 when his vehicle began to skid and struck a deer. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, ejecting Shaddox. 

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Benton County Coroner J. Weston Miller. 

Four receive minor injuries in Johnson accident

Cinthia M. Johnson, 29, a 12 year-old-female, a 9-year-old male and an infant, all of Leeton, received minor injuries at 3:37 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Johnson was driving a 2008 Dodge Caravan south on state Route F south of Southwest 475th Road when the vehicle slowed, struck a deer, crossed the centerline of the roadway, crossed back to the right side of the roadway, and came to rest in the southbound lane. 

All occupants were wearing safety devices and were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Chilhowee woman hurt in Johnson accident

Nicole M. Aita, 20, of Chilhowee, received minor injuries at 5:50 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County crash. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Aita was driving a 2005 Chevrolet south near the 800 block of Southwest Highway F when she failed to negotiate a curve. 

She was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County Ambulance District. Aita was wearing a seat belt.

Gravois Mills man hurt in Morgan motorcycle accident

Jackson L. Bonnell, 24, of Gravois Mills, received minor injuries at 5:48 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County motorcycle accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bonnell was driving a 2006 Suzuki ZX9r east on state Route 52 at Route C when he failed to negotiate a curve, went off the north side of the roadway, and came to rest after going through a barbed-wire fence. Bunnell was ejected. 

He was wearing a safety device and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by ambulance.

Three from Marshall hurt in Saline accident 

Karen A. Stevens, 62, a 16-year-old female and a 15-year-old female, all of Marshall, received minor injuries at 10:34 p.m. April 30 in a Saline County two-car accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 16-year-old female from Marshall was driving a 1996 Honda Accord North on state Route 41 at state Route 240 and a 2014 Jeep Patriot driven by Stevens was traveling west on state Route 240. The Accord failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the Jeep Patriot, then crossed Route 240 and traveled on to Marigold Avenue. The Accord traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and came to rest. The Jeep came to a controlled stop. 

A 16-year-old female occupant in the Honda Accord, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by private vehicle. A 15-year-old female occupant of the Honda Accord, who was also wearing a seat belt, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by private vehicle. Stevens, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by private vehicle.
