Three hurt in Johnson County accident

Christopher R. Culp, 33, of Oak Grove, sustained serious injuries and Jayci L. Stowe, 18, of Lee's Summit, and Richard A Kelleher, 58, of Warrensburg, both sustained minor injuries at 3:43 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven west by Culp on U.S. Highway 50 at Route M struck the rear of a 2022 Hyundai Elantra driven west by Stowe. Stowe then struck the rear of a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Kelleher. The resulting debris struck a 2009 Ford Expedition driven by Amanda L. Begeman, 32, of Odessa, who was also traveling west.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt except Culp, whose seat belt status was unknown. Kelleher was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. Stowe was transported to WMMC by Johnson County Ambulance District. Culp was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City by JCAD. 

Versailles woman injured in Morgan accident

Cheryl A. McGinnis-Kalkman, 61, of Versailles, sustained moderate injuries at 6:11 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving north on Route BB near Crystal Road in a 2003 Cadillac DTS when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, crossed Crystal Road, overturned and struck a tree.

It is unknown if McGinnis-Kalkman was wearing a seat belt. She was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo Ambulance District. 

Hughesville woman hurt in Pettis accident

Jennifer A. Sutton, 37, of Hughesville, sustained minor injuries at 8 a.m. Friday in a Pettis County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sutton was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Passat south on Route T near Richey Road when she swerved to miss a deer, traveled off the roadway, struck a field entrance, and came to rest in the ditch.

Sutton was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
