Three from Cole Camp injured in Benton County DWI accident

An 8-year-old female and an 11-year-old male from Cole Camp received moderate injuries, and Jeremiah J. Casdorph, 40, from Cole Camp received serious injuries at 9:15 p.m. Sunday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Casdorph was driving south on U.S. Highway 65 in a 2005 Mitsubishi Galant when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, became airborne, overturned, and came to rest on its roof. 

All passengers were wearing seat belts and were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District.

Casdorph was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Holden woman in serious condition after Johnson accident

Carissa R. Peerson, 39, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 7:50 p.m. Friday In a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Peerson was driving east on U.S. Highway 50 in a 2013 Toyota when she overcorrected and went off the roadway.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. 

Two injured in Pettis County collision 

Lois E. Bosley, 66, of Gilliam, sustained minor injuries and Asner Herner, 45, of Kansas City, Kansas, sustained moderate injuries at 3:45 p.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Karen K. Southard, 75, of Slater, was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 north on U.S. Highway 65 at Rebar Road when she failed to stop for a red light and was struck by a 2008 Buick Lucerne driven south by Herner.

Both of the injured were wearing seat belts. Herner was transported by Pettis County ambulance District to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Bosley, an occupant of Southard’s vehicle, was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center. 

Butler woman hurt in Pettis accident

Susan M. Cooper, 47, of Butler, received minor injuries at 4:20 p.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cooper was stopped at the light in a 2016 Chrysler 300 facing south on U.S. Highway 65 at Rebar Road as was Kristine A. Zangi, 24, of Butler, in a 2014 Ford Escape. Zangi was struck by a 2012 Dodge Ram headed south driven by Benjamin J. Gerke, 22, of Harrisonville, causing Zangi's vehicle to impact Cooper's vehicle.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts. Cooper was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center. 

La Monte man injured in Pettis accident

Daniel K. Stratton, 66, of La Monte, received moderate injuries at 10:15 a.m. Sunday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Stratton was driving West on U.S. Highway 50 at Pleasant Green Road in a 1994 Ford when he experienced a medical episode traveling off the right side of the road, struck a concrete culvert, became airborne and came to rest on the right side of the road. 

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
