Two injured in Pettis crash

Two Sedalia residents were injured in a crash at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as both vehicles were westbound on Elms Hill Boulevard, west of South Park Avenue. Latrese Brown Hayes, 52, of Sedalia, was driving a school bus when she stopped to pick up a student and another vehicle driven by David M. Scott-Robinson, 22, struck the rear of Brown Hayes’s vehicle.

Scott-Robinson and his 16-year-old passenger both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia by Pettis County Ambulance District.

According to a post on the Sedalia 200 Facebook page, the bus was carrying 20 Smith-Cotton High School students. They were transferred to a different bus after the accident and taken to school. No students were injured.

Two injured in Moniteau crash

Two individuals were injured, one seriously, in a crash at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kent S. Brown, 50, of California, Missouri, was driving northbound on state Route 87, a half-mile south of Walker Road, and was making a left turn into a driveway when another northbound vehicle driven by Denver D. Collins, 59, of California, Missouri, attempted to pass Brown’s vehicle and struck it.

Brown suffered moderate injuries and Collins suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City by Mid-Missouri Ambulance District.
