One seriously injured and arrested in Johnson crash

A man was seriously injured and arrested in a crash at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bobby L. Yarbrough, 62, of Knob Noster, was traveling northbound on state Route 23 at Northeast 950 Road when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, returned to the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned and came to a rest on its side.

Yarbrough suffered serious injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Yarbrough was arrested at 2:59 p.m. by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, no seat belt and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
