Knob Noster man in serious condition after Johnson accident
Justin D. Howard, 35, of Knob Noster, sustained serious injuries at 3:30 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Richell C. Hostetler, 29, of Knob Noster, and a 2015 Kia driven by Jennifer L. Ownes, 55, of Knob Noster, were stopped to turn left at Route D and SE 125th Road when a 2000 Jeep driven by Justin D. Howard, 35, of Knob Noster, struck the rear of the Chrysler, which hit the rear of the Kia. The Kia then traveled across the center of the roadway, striking a 2012 Mack truck driven by Jeffrey Biggs, 50, of Sedalia, head-on.
It is unknown if Howard was wearing a seat belt. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. Everyone else was wearing a seat belt.
