Urbana woman hurt in Benton accident

Margie E. Bryant, 75, of Urbana, sustained minor injuries at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as the towed unit from a 2000 Cadillac Escalade driven by Samuel J. Hinkle, 68, of Warsaw, north on U.S. Highway 65 became detached, traveled into the southbound lane, and was struck by a 2003 GMC Yukon driven by Bryant.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Bryant was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District. 

Richards man killed in Henry accident 

David W. Utter, 51, of Richards, was killed at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Utter was driving a 1999 Peterbilt west on Route 52 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveled back across the roadway, and overturned.

Utter was wearing a seat belt and was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Paul Abbott. 

Two from Versailles hurt in Morgan accident

A 15-year-old female from Versailles received minor injuries and Kellie L. Wood, 22, of Versailles, received moderate injuries at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wood was driving a 2005 GMC Yukon north on Alum Springs Road when she failed to negotiate a curve due to excessive speed. The Yukon skidded off the left side of the road and the driver overcorrected, crossing the road again, and overturning.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts and were transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. 

Blue Springs man injured in Saline accident

James C. Davidson, 41, of Blue Springs, received moderate injuries at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Davidson was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 south on Highway YY when he traveled off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence by Saline County Ambulance District.
