Boating accident leaves Cottleville woman with injuries 

Amy Kohl, 36, of Cottleville, sustained moderate injuries at 3:10 p.m. Saturday in a Lake of the Ozarks accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kohl was traveling west near the 6.5 mark of the main channel and mistakenly grabbed the throttle instead of the gear shift, causing the 2001 Sea Ray vessel to accelerate rapidly, striking a 1998 Fountain boat that was parked at the dock.

Kohl had no safety device and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Two from Blairstown injured in Henry collision

Andrea B. Schmidt, 43, of Blairstown, sustained serious injuries and Dylan W. Hoyt, 30, of Blairstown, sustained moderate injuries at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas driven by Schmitt pulled onto Route N from a private road and into the path of a westbound 2002 Buick Century driven by Hoyt. 

It is unknown if either driver was wearing a seat belt. Hoyt refused treatment on the scene, and Schmidt was transported by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Three injured in Johnson head-on accident

Keenan C. Buell, 20, of Warrensburg; Michael L. Gunter Fenwick, 41, of Leeton, and Michael P. Gunter Fenwick, 46, of Leeton, all sustained moderate injuries at 7:03 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Kia driven east on 187 SE Highway 2 by Michael L. Gunter Fenwick traveled across the centerline and struck a 2000 Toyota driven west by Buell.

All passengers were wearing seat belts and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District. 

Holden woman in serious condition after ATV accident

Jennifer L. Pemberton, 40, of Holden, sustained serious injuries at 6:17 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Pemberton was the passenger on a Honda ATV driven by Kevin A. Smith, 39, of Holden. The crash occurred as the vehicle traveled up a hill and had a mechanical malfunction, causing it to fall downhill and eject both occupants. 

Pemberton was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Warrensburg teen injured in Johnson accident

Jack M. Profit, 19, of Warrensburg, sustained moderate injuries at 9 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Honda driven by Profit west on Highway 13 at Route V pulled into the path of a southbound 2014 Chevrolet driven by Cameron J. Kelly, 23, of Concordia. 

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Profit was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. 

Versailles man injured in Morgan County scooter accident

Duaine P. Riley, 53, of Versailles, sustained moderate injuries at 2:50 p.m. Friday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Riley was driving a 2020 Kaitong IceBear scooter north on Route W at Marvin Cutoff when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway properly and was too close to the outside fog line near a gravel intersection. The scooter began to skid, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and overturned.

Riley was not wearing a helmet and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Mid-Mo Ambulance District. 

Illinois motorcyclist injured in Morgan accident

James L. Courtney, 57, of Marysville, Illinois, sustained moderate injuries at 5:37 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Courtney was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson north on Route W at Old 5 Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the centerline of the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a sign and was ejected.

He was not wearing a helmet and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. 

Versailles man injured in Morgan accident

Thomas W, Drury, 39, of Versailles, sustained moderate injuries at 7 a.m. Sunday in the Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Drury was driving a 2006 GMC Sierra north on Highway 5 when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, overcorrected, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree.

Drury was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Drury was arrested for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident and no seat belt. He was released to the hospital for treatment. 

Lee's Summit woman injured in Pettis accident

Thelma C. Mejia-Reeves, 34, of Lee's Summit, sustained minor injuries at 6:50 p.m. Friday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mejia-Reeves was driving a 2002 Mazda 6 west on Highway 50 at Route MM when she was hit by a westbound 2015 Ram truck driven by Pamela A. Campbell, 29, of Climax Springs.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Mejia-Reeves was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
