Warsaw man seriously injured in Benton accident

Austin M. Rosser, 20, of Warsaw, received serious injuries at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rosser was driving north on Route MM south of Poorboy Road in a 2005 Pontiac when he failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway, returned to the road and traveled off the opposite side and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by Lifeflight Eagle air ambulance. 

Warrensburg man seriously injured in Johnson accident

David M. Heiner, 56, of Warrensburg, sustained serious injuries at 1:19 a.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Heiner was driving north on County Road Old Highway Missouri 13 in a 2009 Jeep when he traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. He was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. 

Raytown woman killed in Saline pedestrian accident

Jamie L. Barnett, 61, of Raytown, was killed at 1 a.m. Wednesday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher Randy Johnson, 37, of Dandridge, Tennessee, was driving a 2013 Freightliner east on I-70 when he struck a pedestrian in the roadway. 

Barnett was pronounced dead by Saline County Deputy F. Nold at 2:04 a.m. She was transported to the Saline County Medical Examiner's Office.
