Two hurt in Saline accident
A 3-year-old child from an undisclosed location sustained minor injuries, and Destiny C. Fischer, 36, of Slater, received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 4:29 a.m. Monday in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Fisher was driving a 2017 Dodge Journey east on Route P at Route D when she failed to stop at a stop sign, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and then struck a fence.
The 3-year-old was restrained, however, Fischer was not wearing a seat belt. Both were transported by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.
