Five hurt in Pettis accident

Five people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 2:01 p.m. Monday in Pettis County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher M. Rowe, 37, of Olathe, Kansas, was driving north on Quisenberry Road near 32nd Street when he struck a southbound vehicle driven by Emma Buchanan, 18, of Sedalia, in the side.

Rowe, a 3-year-old female, a 5-year-old female and a 10-year-old male, all occupants in Rowe’s vehicle, were taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center. Buchanan was also taken by PCAD to Bothwell.

Reports indicate everyone was using a safety device.

Two hurt in Johnson crash

Two Warrensburg residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher W. Ford, 36, of Warrensburg, was driving a semi-truck south on state Route 131 a half-mile south of 850th Road when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a driveway embankment.

Ford and his passenger, 30-year-old Dennis W. Miller, were taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with minor injuries.

Reports indicate Ford was wearing a seat belt but Miller was not.
